Rwanda, Africa
Rwanda, beyond the tourist trail.
The gate into Rwanda's farming communities that most travellers never see open. This 12-day small-group adventure takes you across Rwanda’s hills and into its farms and communities.
You'll meet farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs and community leaders, and see first-hand how agriculture underpins livelihoods across Rwanda. Expect coffee and crop production, female-founded enterprises and plenty of interaction with the local farmers who know it best.
Then there's the rest of Rwanda: from a safari in Akagera National Park looking for the big five, to a mountain gorilla trek amongst volcanoes you'll be talking about for years.

Your Hosts
Nicole
Founder & host
Nicole has spent more than 30 years in agribusiness with Rabobank Australia, working alongside farming families and rural communities. She’s passionate about agriculture and the people behind it.
An experienced traveller for over 38 years, her best memories are the ones far from the tourist trail. For Nicole, travel has never been about ticking off the sights. It's about meeting people, hearing their stories and enjoying the unexpected detours along the way.
Nicole’s connection with Rwanda began through an agricultural development project with Rabo Partnerships and the World Food Programme, supporting Farmer Service Centres across the country. It was here where she met Pascal and was inspired to create AgVenture Travel.
Pascal
Pascal is a Rwandan agricultural professional who works with the World Food Programme and brings a wealth of agricultural experience, local knowledge and a genuine passion for Rwanda’s farming communities.
Throughout the tour, Pascal will provide valuable insights into Rwanda's agricultural sector. His relationships in local communities provide unique access to experiences that most travellers never get to see.
Together, Nicole and Pascal bring Australian and Rwandan agricultural perspectives to each adventure.
Host
We connect women with women who are driving the future of agriculture, from smallholder farmers to a new generation of agricultural entrepreneurs.
A portion of every guest's payment goes directly toward opportunities identified by our partners themselves. We work alongside local representatives and community organisations, so every contribution gets to where it’s needed. Proceeds from multiple tours may be pooled to fund larger initiatives, such as agricultural equipment, machinery and cooperative infrastructure.
Priorities are set locally, so support goes where it's needed most. The farmers who welcome us see the difference.
Travel that strengthens the agricultural communities we visit.
