Throughout the tour, guests will meet innovative farmers, agricultural entrepreneurs, cooperatives and community leaders who are transforming Rwanda's agricultural landscape. More importantly, this is a genuine two-way learning experience. During our visits, we have found Rwandan farmers to be highly engaged, innovative and eager to share their knowledge and experiences while learning about Australian agriculture.
From coffee production and livestock services to sustainable waste recycling systems and women-led enterprises, this journey creates meaningful opportunities for Australian and Rwandan women to exchange ideas, build friendships and learn from one another.

Your Hosts
Nicole Bladwell
Founder, AgVenture Travel
Nicole is a passionate advocate for agriculture and rural communities, with more than 30 years' experience in agribusiness through her career with Rabobank. Throughout her career, she has worked alongside farming families and agricultural businesses, developing a deep appreciation for the challenges, opportunities and resilience of rural communities.
Nicole first met Pascal while working on an agricultural development project through Rabo Partnerships in collaboration with the World Food Programme. The project focused on supporting Rwanda's Farmer Service Centres to strengthen their businesses and prepare for access to finance. Through this work, Nicole gained valuable insights into Rwanda's agricultural sector and developed many of the relationships that have helped shape the AgVenture Travel Rwanda experience.
Driven by a passion for helping farmers and fostering meaningful connections, Nicole established AgVenture Travel to create experiences that bring people together through agriculture, culture and shared learning. Having travelled extensively throughout Rwanda while developing this itinerary, Nicole has personally selected each visit to showcase the country's remarkable agricultural innovation, conservation efforts and community initiatives.
Pascal Habummugisha
Pascal is a Rwandan agricultural professional who works with the World Food Programme and brings extensive local knowledge, industry connections and a deep understanding of Rwanda's farming systems and rural communities.
Throughout the tour, Pascal will provide valuable insights into Rwanda's agricultural sector, helping guests gain a deeper understanding of the opportunities, challenges and innovations shaping the country's future. His relationships within local communities provide unique access to people, projects and experiences rarely available to traditional tourists.
Together, Nicole and Pascal provide a unique combination of Australian and Rwandan perspectives, creating opportunities for meaningful discussion, shared learning and authentic cultural exchange.
At AgVenture Travel, we believe travel can create meaningful and lasting benefits for the communities we visit.
As part of our commitment to supporting local agriculture and community development, AgVenture Travel contributes AUD$500 per guest to local agricultural and community initiatives identified by our local partners.
Working closely with local leaders and community organisations, these funds will be directed towards projects that create sustainable long-term benefits. Contributions may be pooled across multiple tour groups to fund larger initiatives such as: Agricultural equipment and machinery, Cooperative infrastructure, Women's enterprise projects, Agricultural training resources, Livestock management equipment and Community development initiatives.
By supporting projects identified by local communities themselves, we aim to create positive outcomes while respecting local knowledge, priorities and expertise.
Our goal is simple: Travel with purpose. Learn from remarkable people. Leave a positive impact.
